There are 4 days of training and then a 1 day assessment . There is a third party Assessor, separate from Pacific Ropes, who comes in to conduct your assessment.
Your certification will last for 3 years. After 3 years, you will need to re-do the whole course again.
Unfortunately, sometimes you may need to re-assess because you made a silly mistake or had a brain fart. You are allowed up to 60 days to re-assess. If you wait past 60 days, you will need to take the full four days of training again.
The IRATA course is $2000 plus GST for courses held at our Edmonton location, and $2100 plus GST for courses held at our Vancouver location (prices subject to change).

The gear and facility at Pacific Ropes are excellent, with tons of high quality information and practice time packed into a single week of training. I attended an IRATA Level 1 course at Pacific Ropes, with Josh as the instructor, with the course surpassing my expectations. Thanks Pac Ropes, ill be back for my Level 2 !
I've taken my level 1 irata course and just finished doing a recertification course as well and although 6 years apart, both courses were taught with a high standard for safety and professionalism. I feel very competent on the job due to the training I received here. All the instructors are very easy to talk to and accept any questions you have.
I'm currently going through my IRATA L1 training and could not be happier with my experience! I have Cam as my instructor and have felt very comfortable and aware under his supervision. Both Cam and Josh are great!
I just finished my level 1 training with Pacific Ropes. The course was a good mix of education and fun. Our instructor Josh is obviously well versed in everything to do with rope access and went into detail when anyone had any questions. He made things interesting, often funny and was very easy to talk to. Shadow the dog was the show (and sandwhich) stealer. Overall a great time, great people and alright coffee.
I attended training for irata and sprat level one, and I found the instruction and facility to be excellent. Would recommend for your training needs.
